THE ROLE

We are proudly supporting a top-tier warehousing and distribution company in their search for a Health & Safety Specialist to join their growing team in Brantford, ON. The H&S Specialist oversees all aspects of health and safety policies, conducts inspections, incident reporting, and training, while supporting the operations team to ensure a safe work environment for all staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain Health & Safety training programs for all employees
  • Champion the Joint Health & Safety Committee and lead safety meetings
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits
  • Maintain and distribute Health & Safety documentation and reports
  • Identify and correct unsafe behaviors or conditions through regular observations
  • Support return-to-work programs following injuries or incidents
  • Evaluate work processes to identify potential hazards and suggest improvements
  • Collaborate with operations and training teams to meet safety standards

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Health & Safety experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related industry
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Health & Safety legislation and compliance practices
  • First Aid & CPR certification required
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
