Key Impact / Purpose
- Support a strong, preventative safety culture across projects and operations
- Reduce workplace risk through training coordination, compliance support, and hazard awareness
- Enable consistent safety performance by maintaining accurate documentation and records
- Strengthen engagement between field teams, leadership, and the HSE function
- Coordinate internal and external health and safety training, including scheduling and record maintenance
- Maintain, upload, and manage training and safety documentation within internal systems
- Facilitate HSE orientation for all new hires
- Support contractor compliance across third‑party platforms (e.g., Avetta, ISNet)
- Assist with document control, data integrity, and quality assurance of safety records
- Support the HSE and Risk Management teams by preparing required statistics and documentation for prequalification
- Assist in the development and distribution of HSE communications aligned with the HSE strategy
- Partner with operations teams to reinforce safety messaging across the workforce
- Attend and support HSE‑related meetings
- Upload completed documents into Noggin as required
- Provide administrative and coordination support to HSE Specialists, Regional Managers, and Leadership as needed
- Post‑secondary education in a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working in the construction industry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work with employees and stakeholders at all levels
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites using a personal vehicle
- Eligibility to obtain Government of Canada security clearance. This requirement is tied to project‑specific access.
- Full‑time, on‑site role with the ability to work in an active construction site environment.
- Previous experience in an HSE, safety coordination, or compliance support role
- Health and safety certifications or credentials
- Experience supporting contractor compliance platforms (e.g., Avetta, ISNet)
- Experience using safety management systems such as Noggin
- Strong interest in developing a long‑term career within the construction industry
