What You'll Do Here
- To provide leadership, support and co-ordination across all technical work streams, during each stage of a project from design through to construction. Technical work streams may include but are not limited to; All engineering disciplines, design management, digital engineering, sustainability, engineering surveying, asset management and civil engineering
- Ensuring that the design developed meets the technical specifications of the project as well as the applicable law, codes, standards, etc.
- Ensure delivery of IDD in accordance with Aecon’s IDD/BIM related processes and procedures and support future developments
- Ensure the right resourcing profile for the IDD team on our projects
- Ensure the IDD requirements set on the project support digital integrating across all project functions
- Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging
- 10+ years of experience leading engineering and IDD Functions in the construction industry
- Educational and Industry experience requirements include Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training plus experience/knowledge of Civil Construction practice
- Experience across all stages of a project lifecycle
- Experience of working within construction project environments
- Experience of large complex projects in infrastructure would be desirable
- Understanding design and construction phases and alignment with the Digital Plan of Works
- On-site construction experience would be desirable
- Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence etc.) skills are essential
- Excellent customer service skills, a passion for problem ownership, and a customer-first attitude
- Proven experience in priority setting, multitasking, and working with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to travel to site, mobile for projects
- Be a champion of inclusion and diversity
