Job Summary

The Industrial Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a high-demand industrial setting. This role supports daily operations by ensuring all facilities meet safety, hygiene, and client standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning of industrial areas, including offices, washrooms, locker rooms, and common spaces.
  • Sanitize high-touch surfaces and ensure compliance with hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Handle waste collection, segregation, and disposal in accordance with site requirements.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and report inventory needs.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
  • Follow all site-specific safety procedures, PPE requirements, and WHMIS guidelines.
  • Report maintenance issues, hazards, or incidents promptly.

Qualification

  • Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a remote or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures.
  • Physically fit; able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and comply with ongoing site testing requirements.

Work Conditions

  • Rotational schedule (e.g., 5/2).
  • Day or night shifts, depending on site needs.
  • Industrial environment with strict safety compliance requirements.
  • Food allowance for 8+hr/day of $28.50.

The hourly wage for this position is $20.05. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation.
