Purpose of the Role:
As an Industrial Maintenance Electrician, you'll be an essential part of our high-volume manufacturing facility at Svante OEM&D. As we grow to meet the global demand for Carbon Dioxide capture products (Structured Absorbent Beds – SAB), your role will involve maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and electrical equipment.
This opportunity requires flexibility to work shift work and overtime as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- You are a Red Seal Industrial Electrician with 4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- You are able to understand complex material mixing, material transfer and assembly systems.
- You have demonstrated the ability to work with highly automated equipment.
- You have instrumentation experience (PLC programs/HMI, mostly Allen Bradley/Siemens).
- You have hands-on experience with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards, such as the Canadian Electrical Code and CSA standards.
- You excel in reading and interpreting electrical schematics/logic drawings.
- You have a strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and components typically found in industrial settings.
- You have the ability to jog robots.
- You have a Forklift ticket or Scissor lift ticket.
- You will inspect, maintain, install and repair electrical equipment and systems, including power distribution systems, motors, motor control centers, transformers, lighting systems, and other electrical components.
- You'll inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- You will interpret electrical and electronic schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to determine wiring layouts, specifications, and procedures.
- You'll support manufacturing operations in electrical controls, programming, software, and application support to automation, PLC, HMI, robotics, vision, temperature control, and SCADA systems
- You will test electrical systems and equipment using various tools and instruments to ensure proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
- You'll actively participate in preventive maintenance program on building equipment processing equipment daily and keep accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- You will adhere to all safety regulations and protocols and promote a safe working environment for yourself and others.
