Date: 1 week ago
City: Ottawa, ON
Contract type: Full time
Nelligan Law is not your average law firm. We are an innovative and progressive firm where lawyers and staff have the opportunity to work together and grow their careers as valued members of a team of talented professionals in a cooperative and flexible working environment.

When you work at Nelligan Law, you work with some of the best lawyers, consultants, and business professionals in Canada, but that is just the beginning of our story. We take pride in our team culture and respecting the unique contributions that each employee makes to the work we do for clients.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Intake Clerk. As the first point of contact for potential clients, the Intake Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience from the initial inquiry to the commencement of legal services.

The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanour.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and database management software.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingualism (French and English) would be a strong asset.
Legal industry experience or knowledge is a plus but not required.

If this sounds like you, we would love to chat!

A flexible hybrid arrangement, health/dental/long-term disability benefit plan, collegial work environment, and an opportunity to work on significant matters are just a few of the benefits Nelligan Law has to offer.

We thank all applicants for their interest in Nelligan Law; however, only chosen applicants will be contacted. We regret that we are unable to respond to individual inquiries about application status.

Nelligan O'Brien Payne values and supports diversity in our work environment and in the practice of law. If you require any accommodations throughout the recruitment process, please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected]
