IT Business Solution Manager

What this role is about?

You will be responsible for maintaining & supporting factory portfolio of applications across Westen Europe & Americas Region (more focus in Americas). You serve as solution architect responsible for driving the selection, design and delivery of IT solutions to support region’s priorities and objectives, actively engaging with business stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of business requirements. This role may require leading or contributing to projects to localize and roll out centralized systems. It includes detailed planning and execution of the project tasks (e.g. data migration, collaboration with internal and external resources, go-live). In the Montreal factory this role is also responsible for business relationship, financial and contract management.

What will you do?

  • Contribute to Factory IT strategic programs according to your capabilities
  • Collaborate with business partners to keep existing solutions running and identify enhancements
  • Manage new business demands from business value definition and validation to implementation. Recommend existing or new solutions following current company practices
  • Manage projects to roll out systems to more than one factory in the region
  • Manage the application portfolio following the operational excellence procedures (incident management, maintenance, enhancements, change request, problems, etc.)
  • Lead initiatives and people to engage them to perform the tasks and to achieve our objectives
  • Plan, manage and track Factory IT budget (focus on Montreal)
  • Work with the regional team to explore opportunities to innovate and pro-actively suggest new solutions focusing on business needs and priorities

What are we looking for?

  • Fluent in oral and written English and French
  • University Degree in Computer Science or other related discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience in the IT discipline with 1+ of those years in IT Management of Business Solutions/Application teams
  • Good working knowledge of business and related processes in FMCG industry
  • Business requirement analysis & process documentation
  • Solutions design proposal and architecture (business applications and D&IT infrastructure), including but not limited to application design methodology (including Agile methodology), interface design, capacity planning, scalability
  • Knowledge of Microsoft environment and tools (Windows, Office 365)
  • Good understanding of financial planning and budgeting
  • Project management (medium to large-scale projects) and Supplier management experience
  • Preferred background of employment experience in multinational companies
  • Creative and pro-active person
  • Effective communicator at all organizational levels
  • A team player who can thrive in an environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Highly organized and capable to execute multiple assignments based on established priorities
  • Likes to learn new things; Easy to adapt to changes
