IT EDI Lead - Burnaby, BC -

The Role:

Our IT Department is looking for an IT EDI Lead to join the Watson Gloves Family. The IT EDI Lead is a key member of the IT Team who will propel client relationships forward by overseeing the EDI business solution to better serve our customers and internal staff. This role is responsible for the overall management, development, implementation, maintenance, evaluation and troubleshooting issues related to Electronic Data Interchange. Reporting to Director of IT, this role is for you if you are analytical, have a high attention to detail, have strong communication skills, and a track record of delivering exceptional customer service! You will be the lead to all WG customers, internal and external stakeholders for all things EDI.

YOUR Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full EDI lifecycle from data input through invoice generation, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

  • Monitor daily EDI performance; import and export EDI files.

  • Analyze EDI transmissions to identify and resolve data, mapping, or transmission errors.

  • Provide technical support for EDI implementations and ongoing EDI operations.

  • Troubleshoot and fix EDI issues to minimize business disruptions.

  • Create technical documentation and guides for EDI systems and processes.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Maintain documentation covering EDI configurations, processes and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Lead EDI integration projects from initiation through go-live implementation.

  • Onboard new EDI customers and trading partners.

  • Foster relationships with trading partners through collaboration and communication.

  • Continuously improve EDI operations by implementing new tools and automation.


What YOU BRING to Watson Gloves:

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

  • MUST have EDI experience.

  • 5+ years of EDI integration experience with X12, EDIFACT, XML protocols

  • Expertise in EDI data mapping and translation

  • Experience with SPS Commerce EDI platform

  • Experience with data migration and platform integration projects

  • Proficiency in SQL, data analysis and reporting

  • Strong project management and leadership abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada ONLY please


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SFTP, AS2 and API connectivity

  • ERP integration experience

  • Understanding of incident and problem management processes

  • Experience with TrueCommerce EDI platform
