We are currently seeking a IT Security Analyst - FTR - Hybrid to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).
Purpose of Position
The Security Analyst provides remote information systems technology assistance and resolution of routine and non-routine problems.
Accountabilities
Undergraduate or college degree in computer information systems (CIS) with 2 to 3 years experience or 6 years relevant experience in Active Directory, ServiceNow, PowerShell, information security and a strong knowledge of Canadian security compliance requirements.
Salary: CAD 79528.57
Current Shift: Mon – Fri (8am – 4 pm). Employer may change these shifts at any time, due to operational needs and in accordance with the CBA, and must be able to work any/all shifts /on call/travel (as required)

We are currently seeking a IT Security Analyst - FTR - Hybrid to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).
Purpose of Position
The Security Analyst provides remote information systems technology assistance and resolution of routine and non-routine problems.
Accountabilities
- Provide comprehensive Active Directory (AD) support.
- Support the goals and objectives set forth by the AD team Manager. Work is guided by business plans for the discipline. Actively participates in setting area objectives to meet plans.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Adapts communication techniques for audiences at multiple internal and external levels.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure NTT DATA can meet customers’ expectations and deliver quality services within specified SLAs and contractual obligations.
- Participates in tactical and strategic planning for Information Security Management function within NTT DATA and for our clients. Thorough understanding and management of customer business needs and expectations.
- Participate as needed in any architectural re-engineering and configurations discussions and planning. Architectural AD solutioning skills.
- Participate with customer in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into processes, systems and maintain current documentation.
- Develop innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis that improves business performance and contribute to corporate goals and strategic intent.
- In-depth understanding of NTT DATA goals, business priorities, strategy and direction, customer requirements and knowledge of best practices.
- Responsible for designing, developing and recommending security systems solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected.
- Adapts projects, programs or methods based on customer; ability to manage critical projects, customer engagements or business processes.
- Presents facts and information to negotiate mutually acceptable solutions. Introduces products and services to external clients.
- Influences others through their professional/technical expertise. Provides thought leadership, guidance and advice in own field.
- Ensure all Service Management processes are followed, and all incident and requests are addressed within the required time to adhere to published SLAs.
- Detect security issues, create customer tickets, manage problems until closure; Provide resolution plans for device issues. Escalate matters of business risk.
- Coordinate escalations and collaborate with internal technology teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Propose process and technical improvements to management. Integrates trends, data and information into plans, deliverables and recommendations.
- In-depth disciplinary knowledge; leverages business acumen and subject matter expertise.
- Provides deep subject matter expertise, advice and program delivery. Acts as an SME and local leader for information security direction.
- Contributes to the development of new techniques and plans within area of expertise.
- Manages projects and program execution. Guides completion of major projects or customer engagements. Assists in development of Information Security initiatives.
- Works on abstract and complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables.
- Anticipates operational, program, and implementation issues and develops preventative measures.
- Source of training and guidance for less experienced information security engineers. (Analysts)
- Contributes to the area through delivery of end results and contribution to planning for the area.
- Works across organization to effectively obtain and allocate resources to complete programs/projects on time.
- Relationships: Cultivates, develops and manages strong, lasting customer relationships at senior management level. May manage vendor relationships.
- Implement, manage and enforce information privacy and security directives as mandated by FIPPA
- Monitor and audit FIPPA Compliance on the NTT DATA, WEST Account
Undergraduate or college degree in computer information systems (CIS) with 2 to 3 years experience or 6 years relevant experience in Active Directory, ServiceNow, PowerShell, information security and a strong knowledge of Canadian security compliance requirements.
- Support of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) Domain Structure
- Working knowledge of Identity and Access Management and Device Management platform framework and functions
- Experience with Operating System file, folder security, privileged access and GPO implementation
- Experience in the Health Care industry supporting BC Government/Public Service is preferred
- 6 years + Technical experience or administration of Active Directory, with experience in creation, change, deleting user accounts, privileges, and roles including management and administration
- 2 - 4 year’s relevant experience in FIPPA Privacy & Security, compliance
- 2 -4 years’ technical regulatory specific auditing experience (i.e. FIPPA, ISO 27001 etc.)
- 2 - 4 years’ experience developing and implementing FIPPA training programs (Nice to have)
- In-depth knowledge and experience with implementing and installing the following technologies: (must have a minimum of 4 out of the following list)
- Directory Services; applications development & operations.
- Assigning roles and permissions based on job requirements.
- Ensuring timely account provisioning and de-provisioning, especially for new hires, transfers, and terminations.
- Implementing and managing access policies to ensure users only have access to the systems and data necessary for their roles.
- Reviewing and adjusting access permissions regularly to maintain the principle of least privilege.
- Enforcing and auditing identity management policies, including role-based access control (RBAC) and segregation of duties (SoD).
- Reviewing and certifying access rights periodically (e.g., through periodic access reviews)
- Monitoring and responding to security incidents related to user identities or access.
- Identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities related to identity management systems.
- Implementing and maintaining encryption, password policies, and other identity-related security measures.
- Overseeing the entire lifecycle of user identities and computer objects, from initial creation to eventual deactivation or deletion.
- Working knowledge of Canadian privacy legislation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Performing daily activities, monitoring, and remediation of servers/ workstations for virus infections and threats. (Nice to have)
- Event logs and triggered events monitoring and analysis. Vulnerability assessment of Critical Application servers. (Nice to have)
- Unix (Sun OS, Solaris, NeXT); Windows 10 and 11 workstations & Windows 2012 and 2016 for Servers, some Citrix experience, recent Mac experience with AV & encryption solutions. (Nice to have)
