Crest Hotel in Prince Rupert

Description

We are hiring two, full-time Line Cooks to join our team at the Crest Hotel in Prince Rupert, BC. These positions put you right in the center of the action at our famous restaurant, the Waterfront Restaurant, as well as Charley's Lounge and our Convention Centre. It's a high-pressure environment, and we need two reliable workers, who understand how to prioritize and manage their time for great productivity in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities for this role include preparing and cooking delicious meals, ensuring the highest standards of taste and presentation for each dish, and upholding a commitment to excellence in all culinary tasks. Being comfortable in a kitchen and with the fast-paced nature of the work is critical, and so is the ability to approach new tasks with a positive, ready-to-learn attitude. Every kitchen, including ours, couldn't run without a full team behind it. It's important that each new member has a collaborative mindset and is capable of teamwork, with the ultimate goal of offering the best guest experience possible.

While we would like to see some experience, it is not strictly necessary, so long as you are willing to actively engage in our training programs and seek additional information and training where required. Inquiring and seeking clarification to fully understand your responsibilities is an important part of this role as well as continuing to learn and grow in your time here. This is a full-time position with an hourly wage of $21.84 per hour.

There is a physical element to being a Line Cook, so all applicants must be able to reach, bend, push, and pull as required as well as spend several hours per day on their feet. All applicants must also be legally entitled to work in Canada.

If this is a role you'd be interested in, we'd love to hear from you. You can apply for this job through the application form on this page.
