Line/Prep Cook - #226890

At Cypress Restaurant, we provide excellent service and memorable dining experiences for our guests. Our Line/Prep Cooks play a key role in creating authentic and unforgettable dishes while working alongside a dynamic team. We are looking for a reliable Full-Time Line/Prep Cook in Port Alberni, BC who can work both independently and collaboratively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

• Prepare ingredients according to recipe specs and daily needs. 


• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.


• Ensure the timely preparation and service of all food products.


• Assisting with setup of the line and ensuring proper stock of all ingredients are ready.


• Support the execution of daily menus and specials.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.


• Participate in the cleaning/sanitizing of the kitchen area and equipment.


• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.


• Monitor inventory levels and ensure an adequate supply of food and materials.


• Present food in an appealing and appetizing manner, ensuring consistency in taste and appearance.


• Collaborate with team members to deliver an exceptional guest experience.


• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or Management team.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.


• Ability to safely handle a variety of cleaning supplies and chemicals.


• Strong attention to detail.


• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.


• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.


• FoodSafe Certification
