About The Role
Amrize is currently seeking applications for an experienced full-time Loader Operator. As a Loader Operator you will maintain operations of the pit on a day to day basis. Reporting to the Plant Foreman, the operator will inspect, maintain, operate the loader and work co-operatively with all personnel. Our Aggregates operations are in Central Alberta.
What You’ll Accomplish
Education: High School Diploma
Additional Education Preferred: N/A
Field of Study Preferred: N/A
Required Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience operating a loader
Required Training/Certifications: Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
Required Technical Skills: Mechanically-inclined
Travel Requirements: in and around Central Alberta

What You’ll Accomplish
- Operate a front-end wheel loader and perform routine maintenance including washing and cleaning the operator’s cab inside and out, greasing, refueling, changing oil and filters, and maintaining all fluid levels
- Responsible for updating and maintaining all equipment service records for any piece of equipment operated, keeping accurate and thorough records of the maintenance performed, the hours on the unit, date, time, etc.; complete proof of regular service may be required
- Assist the plant operator with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant.
- Perform repair/maintenance on the plant under the direction of plant foreman or lead hand.
- Responsible for completing daily equipment checklist
- Monitor material production within specifications
- Ensure consistent feed to maintain quality product
- Seek out and implement Best Practices
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Additional Requirements
- Able to read survey markings
- Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed, including Saturdays
- Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment
- Has good communication skills, able to work well with others
- Can work independently and unsupervised
- Must be capable of heavy lifting, bending and twisting
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
