Role Summary
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, outgoing individual who is looking for a rewarding career as a logistics/freight expert to work with our North American team. The ideal person has previous experience in logistics. In this role, you will support a group of International Traders and coordinate logistics and freight across North America and worldwide.

Role Summary
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, outgoing individual who is looking for a rewarding career as a logistics/freight expert to work with our North American team. The ideal person has previous experience in logistics. In this role, you will support a group of International Traders and coordinate logistics and freight across North America and worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and arrange transportation and monitor the movement of goods/containers from pick up to delivery completing entire logistics cycle.
- Co-ordinate day-to-day logistics activities required for transporting products via ocean, ground transportation including both domestic Canada and cross border transportation between US & Canada.
- Actively engaged in onboarding new transportation providers, brokers or 3PL into the network and work on securing spot, short term and long-term transportation contracts through RFQ or spot bids.
- Monitor and track a shipment from supplier to customer with daily updates including truck location, reefer temps, border crossing updates to make sure shipment is on track for delivery.
- Report any deviations immediately and take course correction in order to ensure a timely and quick delivery of the product to a warehouse or end customer.
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous experience in logistics, customer service, or International Trading.
- Strong negotiating skills – Negotiating with carriers for the best rates and services.
- Soft skills include sales aptitude and ability to engage in conversation over the phone with suppliers, transportation providers and customers/receivers.
- Ability to be updated on government regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and follow up on payment invoices.
- Hybrid- 1 day work from home per week
- Summer hours (half day off every Friday between Victoria Day weekend and Labor Day weekend)
