Logistics Coordinator - #94850

The logistics coordinator’s role is focused on meeting our business supply’ needs and communicating with vendors in a timely manner and other internal departments resources to monitor and continuously improve product flow and addressing logistics issues related to on-time deliveries and quality.

Position: Logistics Coordinator

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Reporting Departments: Operations

Direct Report: N/A

• Negotiate freight rates
• Prepares and processes courier shipments
• Completes order processing duties including data entry, processing orders, confirmations or revisions, price changes, inventory control
• Processes orders via EDI software / ASN’s
• Maintains accurate costs and retail and monitors price changes within system
• Works closely with the Logistics group to address inventory and shipping challenges
• Source carriers
• Assists with problem resolution on damages, returns, incorrect shipments and packaging issues
• Track shipments
• Identify and fix issues in a timely manner
• Obtain orders/quotes and negotiate rates with customers, carriers and vendors

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years proven work experience in logistics
• Strong organizational & communication skills
• The ability to ensure work is completed correctly, thoroughly and within established timeframes; Ability to work with international counterparts
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Can work independently with minimal supervision
• The ability to manage several projects at once while setting specific goals & timelines for completion
• Proficient computer and data tracking skills, previous knowledge of Customer Management systems an asset
