As a Tax Manager, you’ll help our clients with corporate and personal tax planning so they can benefit from tax savings and incentives. Here’s some of what you’ll get to do:

At Doane Grant Thornton, we’re committed to ensuring our compensation practices are fair, equitable and competitive. To get the conversation started, we’re happy to share that our current base salary for this role ranges from $85,000 - $95,000 in Victoria, BC. If this role is available in another location(s), the associated salary range in that location(s) may vary based on relevant factors, including geography.

As a Tax Manager, you’ll help our clients with corporate and personal tax planning so they can benefit from tax savings and incentives. Here’s some of what you’ll get to do:
- Coaching and mentoring a team of tax colleagues on compliance, helping them walk in clients' shoes by discussing tax planning options
- Establish deep trusting relationships with clients as you advise them on complex tax matters
- Advise clients on reorganizations, rollovers, windups, amalgamations, succession and estate planning, as well as review T1, T2 and T3 returns
- Proactively resolve tax related issues with clients and other team members
- Act as a leader in the management of our growing tax practice, identifying and developing new opportunities for additional tax services
- You’re enrolled in or have completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course, or have a Masters of Taxation degree
- You’ve developed and presented new ideas and conceptualized new approaches and tax solutions for clients as part of your commitment to providing exceptional client service
- You have solid experience in corporate and personal Canadian tax compliance
- You’ve helped mentor and develop others
