This position can be based in either Orlando or Vancouver and will be hybrid, in-office 3x a week.

Job Description

The global EA SPORTS Communications team leads communications for the EA SPORTS organization, setting the pace for the story we tell across every facet of our business. We drive the primary EA SPORTS leadership narrative across all audiences — fans, employees, investors, and more

As the Brand Communications Manager, you will execute enterprise, brand, and leadership communications for EA SPORTS, with a focus on thought leadership, executive visibility, reputation management, and brand marketing support. Reporting to the Senior Manager of EA SPORTS Communications, you will help shape the communications strategy while managing daily execution. You bring expertise in media relations and storytelling and will create impactful narratives, develop press materials, and drive fan excitement through integrated communications that reflect the voice and vision of EA SPORTS.

You have experience with storytelling and an understanding of sports and the sports entertainment industry. You bring fresh, creative energy to every project and excel as part of a collaborative team that values trust, transparency, and bold thinking.

What You'll Do

  • You will lead the development of public relations plans for the EA SPORTS brand in collaboration with EA SPORTS marketing teams.
  • You will plan, implement, and manage strategic communications and PR initiatives that inspire positive coverage and conversation around EA SPORTS.
  • You will manage the creation of external-facing communications materials, including press releases, messaging documents, blogs, and more.
  • You will build relationships with executive leadership and spokespeople across the EA SPORTS organization.
  • You will coordinate and staff media interviews with senior leaders, providing detailed interview preparation and guidance.
  • You will identify and support senior leaders participating in speaking engagements.
  • You will strengthen and grow long-term relationships with important journalists across sports business, entertainment, and broader media.
  • You will develop and implement crisis communications strategies.
  • You will ensure all communications follow our standards, policies, and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or integrated communications within the sports or video game industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • You have a passion for storytelling, exceptional attention to detail, and mastery of grammar and written communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results on deadline.
  • Familiarity with EA, EA SPORTS our games, and the gaming industry.

Compensation And Benefits

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $89,300 - $123,000 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
