About The Workplace
This is a permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. We are also open to candidates based out of Ontario.
We are looking for a forward-thinking and technically strong Integration Development Manager to lead our team focused on real-time integrations across enterprise systems. The integration platform leverages both MuleSoft and Azure Integration Services.
Operating in a regulated financial services environment, this role is responsible for building and maintaining secure, low-latency, high-availability integrations that support critical business operations. The manager will also implement best-in-class code management strategies and ensure alignment with enterprise security and compliance standards.
A Typical Day Would Involve
The salary range for this role is $102,200 to $153,200 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

A Typical Day Would Involve
- Lead a team of developers delivering real-time integration solutions using .NET, MuleSoft, and Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Azure Functions).
- Architect, implement, and maintain low-latency, high-throughput, and resilient integration patterns to support real-time data exchange across financial systems.
- Ensure secure data transmission, access control, and encryption across all integration layers to meet regulatory and compliance standards.
- Define and enforce a robust code management strategy, ensuring consistent practices for source control (e.g., Git), pull requests, reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, and architecture teams to embed security-by-design into all integration workflows.
- Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices and modern observability tooling to proactively monitor, alert, and respond to integration issues in real time.
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, solution architects, and internal business teams to translate requirements into secure, scalable integration designs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in real-time integration, messaging, and cloud-native platforms.
- Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise software/integration development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or managerial role.
- Hands-on expertise in .NET Framework / .NET Core, C#, Web APIs, and RESTful services.
- Proven experience designing real-time integration solutions, including messaging queues, event-driven architecture, and API-first systems.
- Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, and Azure Functions.
- Deep understanding of financial data compliance and security practices (OAuth2, TLS, encryption, RBAC).
- Experience in monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, App Insights, Splunk, Elastic, etc.) to ensure visibility across real-time integrations.
- Strong background in source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management in a multi-platform environment.
- Microsoft Azure or MuleSoft certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, Solutions Architect, MuleSoft Integration Architect).
- Experience working in high-availability, regulated environments such as banking, capital markets, or fintech.
- Familiarity with pub/sub systems and event streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Event Grid, Event Hubs).
- Exposure to Agile delivery and secure SDLC practices.
- An Analytical Problem solver – You are able to identify and separate out the key components of problems and situations. You analyze and interpret information from a range of sources to spot patterns and trends in information and to deduce cause and effect from this. You can generate a range of creative solutions, evaluate them and choose the most appropriate option.
- A strong communicator – You are able to communicate information and ideas clearly and articulately both in oral and written form. You have the ability to convey information clearly and succinctly to various audiences, including technical teams, management, Senior Leadership, and non-technical stakeholders.
- A people leader - you have people leadership skills to manage a team of direct reports and support the technical/transactional activities and carry out people practices. You have the ability to be adaptable to manage and lead yourself and your team through change.
