What Is The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will ensure project success across multiple clients by implementing industry risk management best practice strategies against potential disruptions and setbacks, including managing commercial aspects to mitigate legal and financial risks.

What Is The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will ensure project success across multiple clients by implementing industry risk management best practice strategies against potential disruptions and setbacks, including managing commercial aspects to mitigate legal and financial risks.
What You'll Do Here
- Leading risk identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts throughout the lifecycle of construction projects.
- Developing and implementing tailored risk management plans that address the unique client and technology challenges, including safety hazards, regulatory compliance, and environmental impact, while also managing contractual aspects to mitigate legal and financial risks.
- Proactively support clients to minimize budget overruns, schedule delays, and quality issues through strategic risk mitigation measures.
- Continuously monitoring project progress and risk indicators, adjusting mitigation strategies as needed to maintain project objectives.
- Facilitating open communication and collaboration among diverse project teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure alignment and project success.
- Research, identify, evaluate, and utilize industry information such as prior project lessons learned, industry best practices, reasons for failed or unsuccessful projects, and strategies to mitigate enterprise-level risks.
- Conduct Quantitative and qualitative risk analysis and Incorporate the results of the into the forecast.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or another relevant field with a focus on Heavy Civil construction.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in construction project management or risk management, with a focus in the infrastructure industry.
- Certified Risk Management Professional (RMP) or The AACE Decision & Risk Management Professional (DRMP) are desirable.
- Experienced with utilizing the Monte Carlo Risk assessment tool.
- Experienced working with or applying AACE recommended practices in respect to risk and contingency development.
- Strong knowledge of Risk and Compliance principles as well as legal regulations preferred.
- Ability to work with a diverse workforce in intercultural environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
- Affinity with technical and commercial terms for contract management.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Advance Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Power BI.
- Deep understanding of the construction project lifecycle and associated risks specific to construction projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing risks on complex construction projects, effectively navigating regulatory requirements, and managing contractual aspects to mitigate legal and financial risks.
- Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes and an understanding of Controller instructions, which impact Project Controls (including Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Determination Data).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
- Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge.
- Must be able to travel to projects.
- Must possess a valid G driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
