Purpose / Role
We are looking for an Marketing Advisor based in our Vancouver studio to support the growth and visibility of B+H Architects and CHIL Interior Design, while working closely with the SJ Group marketing team as part of the global Buildings + Cities (B+C) platform.
This is a hands-on, execution‑focused role supporting regional and global marketing initiatives across brand, communications, PR, awards, conferences and thought leadership. The Marketing Advisor will collaborate closely with studio leadership, sector leads and global marketing colleagues to deliver clear, consistent and high‑quality storytelling across all channels.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Campaigns & Execution
- Support the development and execution of regional and global Marketing & Communications campaigns in collaboration with the Toronto Communications & Marketing team.
- Deliver campaigns that represent both B+H Architects and CHIL Interior Design, ensuring strong brand alignment and market clarity.
- Translate strategic business priorities into clear, compelling marketing outputs.
- Develop high‑quality written content including:
- Project case studies
- Staff biographies
- Social media content
- Brochures and credentials
- Media and press materials
- Thought leadership articles
- Conference and presentation materials
- Adapt tone and messaging to suit technical, commercial and creative audiences.
- Liaise with the dedicated BD & Proposals team, contributing to major pursuits where required through:
- Copywriting
- Editing and narrative development
- Act as a key point of contact with the regional PR agency.
- Prepare media materials and support campaign delivery.
- Assist with PR research, monitoring and reporting.
- Coordinate project photography across B+H Architects and CHIL Interior Design projects.
- Work directly with design teams and photographers to:
- Plan and schedule shoots
- Provide on‑site direction
- Ensure brand and storytelling objectives are met
- Manage and update studio website content.
- Undertake ongoing website maintenance, including SEO optimisation.
- Ensure appropriate and consistent digital representation of both brands.
- Coordinate client‑facing networking events.
- Support the delivery of thought leadership events (panels, forums, symposia).
- Assist with internal studio events as required.
- Maintain the annual awards calendar for the Vancouver studio.
- Coordinate award submissions across B+H and CHIL.
- Maintain the annual conference calendar, supporting:
- Abstracts and submissions
- Presentation and sales materials
- Registration logistics
- Post‑conference reporting
- Monitor market trends, sector insights and emerging topics aligned with business goals.
- Participate in regional and global Marketing & Business Development meetings and initiatives.
- Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills, including creative and business copywriting and editing.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience working with WordPress back‑end systems.
- Demonstrated social media experience across LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, including analytics and performance tracking.
- Solid understanding of SEO strategies and processes.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is a strong asset.
- Highly detail‑oriented, results‑driven and adaptable.
- Confident working directly with photographers and providing on‑site creative direction.
- Highly organised, with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Self‑starter with a collaborative, positive and proactive approach.
- Relevant experience within architecture, design, or the built environment is strongly preferred.
