A Day in the life The Marketing Manager for L'Oréal Professionnel will be responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and overseeing the key strategic projects and general business activities of the brand’s professional technical portfolio including the total hair color and texture portfolio.
The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to lead the growth of L'Oréal Professionnel, a pioneering force and global leader in professional hair solutions, by strengthening its position as the preferred partner for salon professionals across Canada. - Animate professional technical categories via launches + strategic promotional calendar tailored for the distribution channels (direct to salons, indirect via distributors.
- Support sales with all required professional sales tools to animate your launches and promotions (e.g., educational materials, technical guides, merchandising artwork for salon environments, solutions to help grow their salon business in all channels).
- Propose and lead marketing mix strategies (IMC/360/Digital/Professional Events) to build integrated, engaging professional customer experiences for your categories, with a strong focus on salon support and stylist engagement.
- Adapt DMI (Division/Brand International Marketing) communication material (education, digital, point of sale for salons, etc.) + develop strong partnerships with DMI to create strong Canadian go-to-market strategies that resonate with professional stylists.
- Mobilize and collaborate with other departments (professional sales, education, logistics, etc.) and partner agencies to build broader business strategy. Be the champion for B2B marketing and salon business growth.
- Manage FPP budget effectively and ensure you’re pacing on budget at all points of the year.
- Ensure sales forecast accuracy on category – monitor the sell-in (to salons/distributors) and sell-out of your category to best forecast your categories needs.
- Own the brand patrimony, guarantee the brand identity: ensure that all actions are in line with L'Oréal Professionnel's sense of purpose – innovating for and with stylists – while nourishing the brand's pioneering spirit.
- Develop one’s knowledge of the L’Oréal organization, get to know the culture, develop one’s expertise in marketing, project management, operational excellence with one’s manager and team support.
- Masters project management principles to consistently deliver projects on time, ensuring execution excellence.
MARKET & PROFESSIONAL INSIGHT
- Identifies market drivers within the professional salon industry.
- Translates professional trends and stylist knowledge into meaningful insights – e.g., for sales team – why is this relevant for them to sell, e.g., for salon clients – why is this relevant for them to experience?
- Thinks brand strategy for the professional beauty sector.
- Imagines disruptive products & services that empower stylists.
- Co-create pricing recommendations with Marketing Director / Trade Marketing Manager
- Develops integrated campaigns that work within professional distribution channels.
- Integrates salon and professional retailer expertise.
- Delivers excellence with agility and rigor – truly take ownership of the category and result within the professional market.
- Integrates sustainable, business consciousness.
- Creates collaboration for bigger success with professional partners.
- Works closely with professional sales and education teams to ensure collaboration and synergy across all professional product categories.
- Shares & leverages best practices.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or another field.
- You have 4 years of professional experience, with a strong preference for experience in hair color, haircare, or makeup.
- You are analytical, pragmatic and an excellent communicator.
- You strive for excellence and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- You lead with passion and an entrepreneurial spirit + you have excellent collaboration skills.
