We’re seeking a Marketing QA Specialist with an eye for detail to lead our quality assurance efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and executing quality control checks, processes, and checklists utilizing automation tools to drive better quality in Marketing Automation. As a member of the Marketing Technology team, you will also be supporting both the asset and communication (e.g. emails, online banking messages) development and execution.


Your interpersonal skills will be important for this role. The Marketing QA specialist will have the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders to articulate defects and steps to recreate them while collaborating to resolve discovered problems.

In this role you will:

Quality Control

  • Setting up and executing quality control checks and processes utilizing automation tools to drive better quality in Marketing Automation.
  • Utilizing test tools to review communications on various devices and platforms before deployment and validating personalization elements in communications.
  • Working closely with Marketing Analytics to verify data processes are optimized and performing database and suppression list checks to continually validate data.
  • Continually driving quality in the developed solutions through the management, development, and execution of all aspects of Quality Assurance controls.
  • Collaborating with the MarTech team members to solve issues found in the execution of Marketing Automation tasks and clearly articulating defects and steps to recreate them.

Marketing Automation:

  • Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM to build and deploy QA automation processes and develop and execute automated tests.
  • Collaborating with the MarTech team members to improve quality in developed solutions and continuously monitoring and optimizing the effectiveness of QA processes.
  • Development and execution of assets and communications in the Dynamics 365 and supporting weekly and daily unsubscribe processes to ensure alignment against Meridian’s CASL policy.
  • Supporting development of simple Journey builds including validation of trigger logic and workflows with other MarTech team members.
  • Building and testing data capture forms to support Marketing campaigns

Effectiveness & Reporting:

  • Analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement and collaborating with cross-functional Marketing team members to continually improve the quality of Member/Prospect key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborating with campaign strategists on quality process improvements for campaigns and presenting findings and recommendations to the Senior Manager, Marketing Technology and other stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitoring and improving the effectiveness of reporting processes to drive better decision-making and quality and documenting and updating new and existing QA processes.
  • Training stakeholders on new processes as required

We’d love to work with you if you have the following skills and abilities:

  • 3+ years of experience within a Quality Assurance (QA) role, preferably in the Financial Services sector.
  • Undergraduate degree (or greater), or equivalent work experience, in Technology, Marketing, and/or Business.
  • Experience working with Marketing Automation and CRM platforms, such as Dynamics 365, Acoustic, Adobe or SalesForce.
  • Expertise in the management, development, and execution of all aspects of Quality Assurance controls, processes, checklists, reports, and audits to continually drive quality in the developed solutions.
  • Experience working with data analytics and providing critical summation on how the data can be improved through qualitative analysis.
  • Experience using QA automation tools to build and deploy automation processes.
  • Experience with building out email communications and web forms using HTML, CSS, and Javascript an asset.
  • Ability to manage external partners and ensure QA work carefully reflects documented issues.
  • Must have knowledge of communication compliance best practices (CASL, PII, CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and other key Microsoft Office tools

Office Location: Toronto OR St. Catharines Corporate Office
