Purpose:
The Digital and Library Support Lead provides customer service to patrons onsite and acts as a lead to the Digital and Library Support Assistants at the Markham Library, under the direction of the Digital Development Supervisor.

Education:
Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree program in a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 1-year experience in administrative support roles in a high-volume environment.

Skills:

  • Proficient with media editing software including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Audacity, and OpenShot.
  • Proficient with makerspace related software such as Prusa Slicer and Lightburn.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Google Calendar and Dropbox.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Effective communication skills to provide accurate information.
  • Ability to learn new hardware and software programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to support colleagues by sharing knowledge and guidance or acting as a resource to others.

Additional Notes:
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
