Job Purpose: The Material Handling Sales Specialist drives sales of ergonomic and industrial handling solutions that enhance customer efficiency, safety, and compliance. This role supports field sales by recommending equipment such as carts, racking, storage systems, and lifting devices tailored to Canadian standards. Through technical expertise and market insight, the specialist helps solve handling challenges and positions TENAQUIP as a trusted solutions partner.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments and ergonomic evaluations to identify customer needs
  • Recommend and sell material handling solutions tailored to customer workflows and compliance standards
  • Provide CAD drawings, product specifications, and custom proposals for storage and ergonomic equipment
  • Collaborate with sales teams and vendors to support technical bids and project planning
  • Stay informed on provincial safety and ergonomic regulations related to material handling
  • Lead product demonstrations and training sessions for end-users and operations teams
  • Assist with project management, including installations, retrofits, and after-sales support
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities and customer interactions in CRM systems
  • Represent TENAQUIP at trade shows, events, and customer meetings as a technical expert
  • Share insights on industry trends and innovations to support sales and marketing strategies

Qualifications

  • College certificate required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of sales experience, ideally in a technical or industrial environment
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills
  • Ability to coordinate projects and work effectively in a team environment
  • Comfortable using PowerPoint and delivering presentations or training sessions
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a customer-focused approach
