Your Opportunity: Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital is seeking a dynamic leader to join its busy Diagnostic Imaging department. As an MRT III, you will take on a key leadership role supporting daily operations, overseeing workflow, mentoring staff and students, and serving as a primary liaison with Radiologists and other multidisciplinary professionals. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensure effective resource management, and help shape a high-performing, patient-focused team Description: As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) III, you will be responsible for the operational supervision of a staff team and work processes of a radiology department or program/function. You will act as the lead Clinical Preceptor for MRT students and primary liaison to the area Radiologist. Your work can include establishing and maintaining adequate levels of supplies and materials for the department and administering quality control assurance programs

Required Qualifications: Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) Additional Required Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supervising staff, coordinating workflow, and supporting a collaborative team environment. Strong clinical expertise in Computed Tomography (CT), including advanced imaging procedures and protocols. Proven ability to mentor and support staff and students. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with Radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control practices within a diagnostic imaging setting. Ability to support operational requirements, including workflow optimization, resource management, and maintaining supply levels. Commitment to safe practice standards, patient-centered care, and continuous quality improvement. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Preferred Qualifications: Progressive responsibility in a diagnostic imaging environment including charge, team lead, or supervisory responsibilities. Completion or working toward advanced CT certification (e.g., CTIC or equivalent). Recent experience in acute care or hospital-based imaging setting an asset. Leadership and/or management training are also considered assets.
