To achieve this, we have developed The Globe Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.

We have now completed our pivotal clinical study, and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.

As a member of the Quality Control team, the Metrology Supervisor will have direct responsibility for Kardium’s Metrology laboratories and incoming inspections of purchased products.

Please note that this opportunity is an on-site work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Planning incoming inspections to align with production schedules for the Globe system.
  • Overseeing Metrology lab resources to ensure appropriate staffing and measurement tools are available.
  • Developing and maintaining KPIs to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the Metrology department.
  • Providing Metrology Technicians and other stakeholders with technical training and guidance on Metrology tools.
  • Performing incoming inspections in accordance with established specifications, as required.
  • Promoting best practices in Metrology with the goal of establishing state-of-the-art inspection laboratories at Kardium.

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:

  • Minimum of ten years of hands-on quality control experience, preferably in regulated manufacturing industries such as medical devices or automotive.
  • Previous people management experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings, including the ability to interpret specified dimensional and functional characteristics and apply GD&T principles.
  • Proficiency with measurement tools and systems such as calipers, micrometers, vision systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Associate degree or diploma in a technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and related experience.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage across all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Compensation

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.

As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.

  • $82,000 - $92,000 (CAD Annually)
