Our Abbotsford team is hiring a Ministry Advancement Coordinator to strengthen and expand our volunteer base, youth worker team, and network of ministry partners.
Title: Ministry Advancement Coordinator
Reports to: Abbotsford Area Director
Area/Department: Abbotsford Youth Unlimited
Classification: 6-month Contract, with the potential to grow into an ongoing
part-time or full-time role if it proves a good fit for both the candidate and the
ministry.

General Description
The Ministry Advancement Coordinator develops and implements a strategy for staff recruitment, volunteer recruitment, and ministry partner development in Abbotsford. This role requires cultivating strong relationships across a wide spectrum of agencies, businesses, organizations, schools, churches, and community partners.
The Coordinator regularly visits Abbotsford YU ministries to gain a deep understanding of team culture, collaborates with the Abbotsford team, and works closely with the GVYU Marketing & Communications team. The goal is to represent Youth Unlimited well, connect people to meaningful opportunities, coordinate recruitment and fundraising events and campaigns, and foster an environment of momentum and growth. A key aspect of this role is providing chaplain-like relational and spiritual support to ministry partners and volunteers. The Coordinator intentionally invests in their well-being, offering care, encouragement, and connection that strengthen their long-term engagement with Youth Unlimited.

As part of this role, you will build a team of ministry partners who support Abbotsford
Youth Unlimited through prayer and financial giving. This includes raising funds for the

Training, coaching, and resources are available to help you thrive in this aspect of ministry.
This role helps expand the ministry partner base that supports Abbotsford Youth Unlimited,
contributing to the long-term sustainability of both the ministry and this position.
