Multimedia Diagnostics Engineer
The Role
The Diagnostic Engineering team is responsible for function, system, and stress diagnostics software development targeting next generation CPU, APU and dGPU products. We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced engineer to design and develop multimedia diagnostics software which verifies the industry leading products to the internal and external customers.
The Person
The ideal candidate should be a hardworking self-starter, proactive, able to share ideas, and able to provide design verification leadership.you have excellent knowledge of hardware/software integration and standard diagnostic testing techniques. Our team wants members who are sophisticated developers in a complex software environment. Additionally, this candidate must have exceptional problem solving capabilities and data analysis skills. You will also have excellent conversation and writing skills.

Multimedia Diagnostics Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop diagnostics software for multimedia IP features bring-up and verification on both pre-silicon environment (FPGA, C-Model, Palladium etc.) and post-silicon system (silicon and platform)
- Identify and resolve IP, SoC, board and firmware issues; Provide diagnostics support to external customers and internal engineering teams
- Forward thinker to improve development process and drive innovation
- Proven experience on diagnostic, driver or embedded SW development closely interacting with HW designers and FW development team
- Strong mix of large-scale software development ability and hardware understanding
- Hands-on experience with any of SoC/board bring up, video encoding/decoding is preferred.
- Proficient in C & Modern C++ programming
- Familiar with source controls systems like Perforce and Git.
- Familiar with Linux, knowledge and experience of device driver or firmware development is required
- Familiar with video processing and enhancement algorithms
- Familiar with Video CODEC decode/encode, HEVC, H.264, AV1, VP9 etc.
- Strong debugging and testing skills
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in EE or CS or equivalent
