ISL’s Saskatoon team works on a diverse range of municipal and land development planning and design projects across Saskatchewan. Our work includes:
- Community Development Servicing Studies
- Water and Sewer Master Plans
- Subdivision and Site Development Servicing, Grading, and Stormwater Management Design
- Municipal Infrastructure Upgrades
- As a member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to multiple projects at once, helping to shape growing communities and enhance local infrastructure. You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of projects – being involved in the full project life-cycle, from planning and data collection to detailed design and construction support.
We routinely collaborate with other disciplines within ISL, including Transportation, Community Planning, Landscape Architecture, Water, and Structural teams. Our projects also involve regular coordination with external partners such as municipalities, private developers, provincial agencies, architects, and contractors to ensure high-quality and efficient project delivery.

Your resume should show us:
- Completion of, or upcoming graduation from, a B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering program and eligible for registration as an EIT or P.Eng designation with APEGS.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience in areas such as construction, consulting, and/or regulatory approvals within the municipal and land development sector.
- Working knowledge of Civil 3D/AutoCAD and Excel.
- Working knowledge of site grading and utility servicing design.
- Experience writing technical reports and memos.
- Experience in field investigation and site inspections.
- Experience in large and small-scale projects.
Bonus points for:
- Topographic and survey layout experience.
- Experience with software such as ArcGIS, PCSWMM, and WaterCAD.
- Evidence that you use technology and innovation tools in your work.

You have experience building strong working relationships with a wide range of partners involved in municipal infrastructure projects, and you’re excited to be part of a multidisciplinary organization. You’re naturally proactive—able to anticipate challenges and identify risks before they arise. At this stage in your career, you're eager to grow with a collaborative team and are motivated by technical excellence.
In this role your primary responsibilities would include:
- Collaboration on projects both locally and across ISL disciplines and offices.
- Help prepare various reports including technical reports, design briefs, and due diligence reports.
- Be heavily involved in the technical design and drawing production of underground utilities, stormwater management infrastructure and site grading.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and other team members to prepare a drawing/submission package for various municipalities and other clients.
- Coordinate with other consultants and clients.
- Preparation of cost estimates and associated summaries.
- Preparation of tender and contract documents
- Complete topographic survey and construction layout.
- Review and confirm progress claims quantities.
- Visit construction site to monitor progress and other duties as per the contract documents.
