Position Overview

As our OHS Manager, Operations & Field Support, you will champion safety awareness and provide world-class advisory services across all business units. You will relentlessly pursue safety excellence, supporting every area of the company to maintain the highest standards of safety.

In this role, you will:

  • Leads and sustains a culture of safety excellence through active, hands-on leadership with management, contractors, and frontline employees.
  • Oversees safety improvements from monitoring, hazard identification, and safety events. Manages safety performance data, producing summary reports with recommendations for senior leadership
  • Lead field visits, safety coaching, and performance analysis, providing data-driven insights to leadership. Manages incident reporting and corrective actions to drive safety excellence.
  • Collaborates with key client groups to identify, communicate, and manage occupational safety and health risks in capital projects.
  • Reviews compliance checks and safe work observations, supporting incident management and corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure ongoing safe work.
  • Further enhance our contractor safety management program, testing and evaluating against world class best practice

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational, Health and Safety or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution, plus a minimum of seven (7) years’ recent and related experience. A combination of education, experience and training may be considered.
  • Recognized safety professional designation, preferably Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or equivalent designation
  • Compliance experience, including experience working with regulators such as WorkSafe
  • Oil and Gas experience would be considered an asset. experience working with different workgroups such as Operations, Contractor, Process Safety, Projects, and Procurement.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
