Compensation: $31.23/hour

About The Role

We’re seeking a Mill Operator (Roll Tender) to join our Port Colborne Mill team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring safe and efficient manufacturing operations while producing high-quality products that meet ADM’s standards. The position involves both manual and equipment operation tasks in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll operate and monitor milling processes, support sanitation and material handling activities, and uphold ADM’s commitment to safety and quality at every step. Reporting to the Mill Superintendent, you will support both flour and wheat end operations while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workplace.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform housekeeping and sanitation duties to maintain a clean work environment
  • Complete flour changes using the yield management system
  • Monitor equipment and perform flour and wheat process adjustments
  • Assist in daily operations of both flour and wheat ends
  • Provide coverage for Mill Operator 1 duties as required
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues
  • Maintain accurate records and complete computer-based reporting tasks
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
  • Support continuous safe and efficient production practices

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Leadership presence with a professional and courteous approach

Education and Experience

  • Experience in a mill or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Previous work in high-speed production strongly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently in a team setting
  • Supervisory or leadership experience considered an asset

Other Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment medical and reference checks
  • Regular, reliable attendance and willingness to work flexible hours as needed
  • Commitment to ADM’s Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Relocation assistance is not available
  • Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures in various areas of the facility
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting and repetitive tasks
  • Ability to walk long distances and use tools as part of daily responsibilities
