What We Offer
Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Business Partner, the People & Culture Business Partner will be responsible for providing strategic and operational support to people leaders within designated business areas, serving as a trusted point of contact for all people-related matters. You will help cultivate high-performing teams by delivering proactive coaching and driving initiatives that promote employee development, engagement, and success. This role involves contributing to various people operations areas such as performance management, employee relations, engagement, compensation, and training & development.
This role will support various business groups, which may include the Product, Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams. The specific groups supported may evolve or change based on business needs. This is a full-time, 18-month contract position (covering a maternity leave), based out of the Vancouver office and operating on a hybrid model (3 days per week in-office).

$75,000—$85,000 CAD

What you’ll be doing:
- Build strong collaborative relationships with people leaders in your business areas, ensuring a full understanding of key business and people concerns
- Provide coaching and guidance to people leaders on employee career development, performance management, team engagement, retention, and succession planning
- Utilize data and provide key insights in the design of key People & Culture programs and work with your business areas to optimize results
- Partner with people leaders to ensure strong execution of change management including the design of a comprehensive communications and engagement plan
- Act as a People & Culture representative and liaison to people leaders to inform and provide clarity around People & Culture owned processes and policies
- Design and develop People & Culture policies that comply to local employment standards
- Actively participate and support in various People & Culture programs and initiatives such as performance review cycles, engagement surveys, and training sessions
- Working collaboratively with the global People & Culture team by supporting the full employee lifecycle process from onboarding to offboarding
- 2-5 years HR Business Partner experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships and communicate effectively with senior business leaders, and build trust with all levels within an organizatio
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Solid knowledge of local employment, labour, and human rights legislation
- Strong organizational, time management, and follow through skills
- Knowledge of HR best practices within a fast paced, global organization
- Flexible and adaptable to multiple shifting priorities
- Demonstrates initiative to creatively and independently solve complex problems
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
- Able to create reports and analyze data to enable informed decision making
- Experience with HR systems such as BambooHR
- Experience using Google Suite and JIRA (Confluence)
- Demonstrated experience in a global technology or software organization
- CPHR candidacy or designation
