TMC Pharmacy is looking for a part-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Windsor, Ontario.

The listed compensation is a starting point and will be determined based on the candidate's experience.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

  • Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
  • Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
  • Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
  • Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
  • Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
  • Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
  • Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy with a preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business.
  • Proficiency with Kroll, along with a high level of accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry, is considered an asset.
  • Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule

  • 12 to 20 hours per week.
  • The store operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Candidates must be flexible and available to work both weekday and weekend shifts as required.
