Trouw Nutrition is seeking an experienced Poultry Sales Representative to be based out of our Chilliwack plant, providing service to our Lower Mainland customers.

About The Role: Our Poultry Sales Representative provides nutritional consultation and guidance to our existing poultry producer clients and introduces Nutreco products to new customers in the poultry industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Be customer-centric: Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and new poultry customers, serving as a trusted partner and resource for all their nutritional and feed-related needs
  • Identify customer needs and collaborate with our sales, nutrition, customer service and operations teams to develop solutions and programs to address those needs.
  • Conduct on-farm consultations and assessments to evaluate flock performance and help producers troubleshoot on challenges they may be experiencing.
  • Drive growth and meet or exceed business targets by becoming a valued partner with our poultry clients; providing on-farm consultation and sales calls and providing value-add support.

Skills And Expertise

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in agri-business, animal science, animal nutrition and production, or a related poultry production field is an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in commercial sales in the poultry industry, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to poultry producers and diverse audiences.
  • A valid driver’s license is required to travel extensively throughout the lower mainland of BC to make on-farm sales calls and attend industry events as needed.

Expectation from the Role:

  • Ability to travel throughout Lower Mainland BC
  • Available to attend team meetings bi-weekly at our Chilliwack plant
  • Self-motivated to manage own schedule and meet targets
