We’re looking for a Press Assistant who will be working in our Label department and maneuvering the required supplies/components to our presses, with the goal to assist the Production Operators in maintaining service levels and reducing downtime.
Working Hours
This role will rotate every 2 weeks on 3 shifts - Day (7am-3pm), Afternoon (3pm-11pm) and Night (11pm-7am) shifts.

We’re looking for a Press Assistant who will be working in our Label department and maneuvering the required supplies/components to our presses, with the goal to assist the Production Operators in maintaining service levels and reducing downtime.

Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret order requirements on the production docket to collect and stage the components required for the production operator to produce the order
- Transfer completed product safely and efficiently from press to next operation in a timely manner
- Replenish consumables at each press and properly remove and dispose of used wipers and waste inks
- Maintain chemical room in a safe and clean manner, ensuring to follow company policies & OHSA requirements
- Return stock inks, polymer plates and dies to proper inventory locations after order completion
- Daily wash-ups of used ink trays and pumps, maintain wash tank solution
- Other duties include housekeeping, maintain Press Assistance area, plate mounting station and perf station and Label department aisles
- Completion of Secondary School (Grade 12) diploma or equivalent certificate
- Oral and written communication skills in English
- Basic mathematic skills
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs
