Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Software Developer in Test with expertise in Analytics, Machine Learning or Generative AI, to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide quality-related technical leadership, delivering semantic capabilities in NetSuite’s products, bringing business context to our Analytics, ML and Generative AI solutions. We believe intent-based software is the future and building semantic spaces play a key role in achieving that goal. This role, at a Principal level, will be critical for delivering the quality strategy for our solutions.
Working collaboratively with your cross-functional teammates, your test and technical acumen and strong collaboration skills will help assess and critique the quality of the semantic capabilities we produce. With test automation as your focus, you’ll create semantic capabilities for a variety of software consumers - database models, query and scripting languages and of course core NetSuite capabilities. You’ll also value performance and scale when considering testing - the code you write will touch the data layers of thousands of corporations worldwide and millions of end users.

CA: Hiring Range in CAD from: $76,700 - $167,600 per year.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
In our team, we need more than just standard software engineering skills. You will need to:
- Collaborate with your team and beyond, to establish and deliver efficient and effective test automation for semantic capabilities that bring business context to NetSuite's Analytics and AI experiences.
- Write a lot of test automation code, lead on code reviews for the team and lead technical design decisions for any test automation frameworks created.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to understand intent-driven user experiences, AI requirements and potential applications.
- Support test automation and related work that ensures the scalability, performance, and reliability of semantic capabilities
- Learn and leverage NetSuite’s product set for Analytics: NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, SuiteQL, SuiteScript and Workbooks, to name a few.
- Learn and Leverage Oracle's AI product set and support strategic alignment across NetSuite's AI delivery.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and machine learning to ensure our approach to delivering in the semantic space remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
- As a Principal Developer in Test, lead by example, prioritize quality in all aspects of your software development work.
- As a Principal Developer in Test, lead the delivery of a test automation framework that can be leveraged by the whole team for their automated unit and functional tests, planning and contributing to expansions of the test suite as appropriate.
- Lead our investment in dataset generation to provide near-realistic testing of Analytics and AI capabilities, ensuring one-off manual data creation is minimized or avoided altogether.
- On periodic cadence, lead exploratory testing of our capabilities.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for features our team creates, ensuring consistent performance and resolving potential issues. This includes participating in customer support given appropriate planning.
- Regularly review and refine enhancements based on user feedback and analytics.
- Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and ongoing training sessions to continuously improve team collaboration and personal skillset.

- Computer Science degree or proven experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
- Passion for AI and its applications.
- Experience with Java or a similar object-oriented programming language with the ability to write programs and apply OOP principles.
- Experience and interest in analytics, data warehousing, data models
- Experience working with SQL (preferably in Oracle)
- Experience building database-driven web applications
- Knowledge of SDLC, preferably in an agile environment
- Experience working with IDEs such as Eclipse or IDEA
- Experience working with code versioning tools such as Perforce or Git
- Great problem-solving skills.
