In this role, you’ll serve as both strategic consultant and hands-on tax expert: advising on Canadian tax affairs, developing tax-efficient corporate structures, reviewing personal, trust and corporate income tax returns, and overseeing other key tax reporting forms. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, work across diverse industries, and deliver insights that drive confident decisions and sustainable growth. The salary range for this position is $128,900, $178,900. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation. - Provide deep technical tax expertise and guide others in applying it across engagements
- Create an environment where people and technology thrive together to deliver smarter, more efficient outcomes
- Lead across diverse teams, clients, and complex engagements, navigating competing priorities and perspectives
- Initiate and lead open, candid conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders to build trust and drive results
- Own and deliver high-quality tax consulting and compliance engagements, ensuring excellence, timeliness, and client satisfaction
- Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct
Your skills, knowledge, and experiences are what set you apart. Here's what we look for:
- Demonstrated experience in tax consulting, including tax compliance, provisions, and reorganizations for private clients and family offices
- Strong experience in public accounting (small, mid-size, or major firms), with an understanding of engagement lifecycle, client expectations, and service delivery excellence
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a Master’s in Taxation, with a Canadian CPA designation
- Completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Program (Levels I–III) is a strong asset
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and build high-performing, inclusive environments
- Ability to thrive under pressure while prioritizing multiple engagements and maintaining high quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients and stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong interest in digital upskilling, emerging technologies, and evolving ways of working
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
