Role

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are seeking a talented Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. We are looking for someone with experience in managing purchasing cycles and excellent organizational skills. This role will report to the Global Procurement Manager and will be integral to ensuring timely material procurement aligns with production schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Create Purchase Orders for materials required for production orders
  • Establish specifications in terms of optimal quantity to purchase, quality required and the cost impact on budget
  • Manage the purchasing cycle, including generating requisitions, PO creation, PO follow-up, goods reception, and final payment
  • Ensure accuracy of purchasing and coding information within the ERP system
  • Manages PO lines effectively for pull ins, push outs and cancellations
  • Expedite Purchase Orders to ensure continuity of supply
  • Coordinate receipt of materials with the Logistics, Receiving and IQC departments to mitigate time loss and ensure cross department communication is maintained

Who You Are

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks
  • Intermediate to Advance Level competency with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NetSuite (ERP System) and BOM tools (i.e. Arena) would be an asset

Skills

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
