Job Description

The Product Marketing Manager will own all traditional aspects of product marketing, including market segmentation, product positioning, buyer personas, sales enablement, and more. This position requires 3-5 years of experience as Product Marketing Manager with a SaaS company.

This role is the glue that binds our Product, Sales, and Marketing departments and bridges the gap between the problems our customers face and the solutions Avetta offers. You will be the product evangelist and play an integral role in organizing product launches and feature releases. The ideal candidate will back up strategic insights with market evidence and use that knowledge to drive positioning and messaging that resonates with buyers and empowers our Sales and Marketing teams to be successful. Attention to detail, an eye for quality will be critical to your success.

  • Evaluate the impact of your efforts and prioritize a high volume of tasks to maximize output
  • Bring a “Sales Mindset”, meaning our job is ultimately to build a sales funnel

If residing within commutable distance to our office in Lehi, Dallas, Houston, or Calgary, a hybrid schedule would be offered (3 days in office, 2 days work from home). Remote work may be considered for those outside of commutable distance to an office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop Sales Enablement tools
  • Market intelligence—be the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria
  • Competitive intelligence—perform SWOT analysis, communicating competitive intelligence bulletins, battlecards, etc.
  • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Enablement, and Marketing departments to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas
  • Understand and document our prospects buying process
  • Plan the launches of new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Act as the primary thought leader for Avetta’s solutions, including speaking engagements and written works—partner with Content Development to create industry relevant content
  • Understand and support our sales channels by developing internal tools and external collateral
  • Develop messaging, high quality content, and marketing campaigns to support customer retention and sales efforts
  • Occasionally support customer visits, industry events, and tradeshows

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • 3+ years of product marketing experience with at least 5 years’ experience in a market-facing role (e.g. working with customers and prospects, competitor analysis and market research)
  • Superior PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening and presentation skills
  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Teams and Salesforce
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, customers and third parties
  • Experience marketing service-oriented technology solutions, not just products
  • Energy, drive, an appetite to learn, and willingness to work hard
