Product Training Specialist

Vancouver, BC/ Full-time

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities

The Product Training Specialist is primarily responsible for the delivery, integration and implementation of training course curriculums. Developed training experiences will target adult learners from within the appliance industry and may include a culinary component, full day/multiday sessions, course learning or virtual classrooms. F ocused on the facilitation and execution of trainings at BSH facilities, and as required in the field to expand product knowledge, sales growth and BSH brand awareness. This role will also assist in managing the instructional content design and development of educational solutions for regional and national training events. Maintain progress reporting of all training participants and training activity within territory. Monitor curriculum to evaluate effectiveness and recommend modifications as necessary. Maintain a working knowledge of market trends, learning tools and strategies, and competitive product awareness.

  • Comprehensive, planning, delivery and execution of all product training curriculum regionally, and as needed nationally for BSH Canada’s brands and services
  • Develop an annual education plan for respective regions.
  • Work cross functionally with peers to identify and address learning needs for associates in all sales channels, the kitchen/trade community and internal employees/contractors
  • Support regional, customer service, marketing and sales education initiatives including trade events, conferences, product launches and CEU sessions
  • Produce complimentary materials, resources and guides for learning experiences for use virtually, online or in person by training participants.
  • Promote a thorough understanding of BSH brands integrating ‘hands on’ and interactive learning methods
  • Strategize and plan event logistics for events with a learning component
  • Maintain a 120-day calendar of training events at all showrooms for review and planning with management and in coordination with showroom calendar of activities
  • Help to ensure that training systems and procedures support concept needs and reflect best practices of BSH and the appliance industry
  • Provide as required, insights, reporting and training intelligence for business use leveraging and maintaining available LMS systems
  • Actively participate in and access available supplemental training skills, learning tools and technologies, offered internally or externally to enhance job performance, establish product competence, and integrate innovation into BSH learning practices
  • Evaluate and recommend new instructional methods for all educational processes with recognition strategy for learners
  • Maintain availability and supply of all necessary training equipment, materials and supplies
  • Ensure product mix, set ups and peer knowledge at BSH facilities support learning environment
  • Respond with flexibility and urgency to shifting priorities

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree – Required
  • 3-5 Years of Experience (Experience in sales or training in a similar industry with an understanding of luxury consumer goods) – Required
  • Demonstrated capability of learning technical knowledge
  • Knowledge of principals and methods of adult education and presentation techniques
  • Exceptional presentation, verbal and written skills
  • Able to assist in design and development strategies supporting hard copy, applications and web based materials including documentation, presentation, procedures, reference materials, activities, courses, workshops and assessments
  • Must have functional computer knowledge and data entry skills using Microsoft 365 for report presentation, content development and reporting (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel by car, boat or airplane
  • In support of training activities, candidates must be able to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
  • Must be capable of using good judgment and discretion when exposed to confidential information.
  • Bilingual (French and English) is preferable, mandatory for Quebec region
  • Travel Percentage – 50%
