Ledcor is hiring a Jr. Project Coordinator to support our Highway Maintenance team in Grande Prairie. This is a hands-on, site-level role ideal for those seeking to build a career in construction supervision and operations management.
As a Project Coordinator, you’ll work under the guidance of experienced supervisors and contribute to the successful delivery of highway maintenance and construction projects. You’ll gain exposure to all aspects of operations, including quality control, estimating, contract administration, crew management, equipment operations, and more.

Key Responsibilities
- Knowledge of office processes: subcontract management; change orders; RFIs (request for information); estimates & purchase orders and financial reporting
- Learn technical and operational aspects of highway maintenance
- Support safe and efficient work practices; promote a positive safety culture
- Conduct quality inspections, audits, and materials testing
- Analyze operational data (e.g., storm response, patrols, drainage, vegetation)
- Build relationships, influence key stakeholders and proactively participate in discussions
- Manage quality documentation, procurement tasks, and project reporting
- 1-3 years of related experience in project coordination, management or a combination of education and field exposure
- CET or EIT designation is a nice to have but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented and proactive
- Familiarity with construction documentation, RFIs, subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Ability to problem solve on the fly
- A high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and scheduling tools
- Flexibility to travel to other locations
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Valid driver’s license with clear 3-year abstract
- Monday to Friday schedule based in our office in Leduc
- Travel required (up to 20%) to other shop locations within Alberta
