Job Description

As a Project Manager, Inbound Logistics, you will manage high profile supply chain projects and business initiatives related to shipping and warehousing for ISI and its partners. The position manages internal and external cross-functional teams, including a major 3PL subcontractor, ensuring timely and safe delivery of all shipments—from small materials to program critical oversized equipment. The Project Manager, Inbound Logistics will lead and mentor a team, drive safety and efficiency improvements, develop long-term warehousing strategies, and present updates to executive stakeholders through Quarterly Business Reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects to the required scope, cost and schedule including performance management of internal and external stakeholder reviews.
  • Project Manage third party logistics providers and business-critical growth initiatives aligned to key initiatives.
  • Develop and utilize capacity planning tools to ensure adequate resources are available to support forecasted demands. Implement plans to support customer warehousing requirements.
  • Develop and Project Manage the inbound logistics readiness initiative for significant material flow rate increase across all programs.
  • Develop complex business cases including preparation for VP level presentations and customer meetings.
  • Manage a team to ensure safe, timely, and effective transportation of materials from suppliers to ship production including controlled goods/UKOS across all programs.
  • Develop and manage related enterprise risk and change management strategies.
  • Develop key performance indicators and utilize the data to enhance team and supplier performance for management of inbound logistics.
  • Support other supply chain functions to deliver on zero lates and zero defects.
  • Identify, develop and implement a robust inbound material and logistics project governance structure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline (e.g. Business, Finance, Engineering)
  • Master’s Degree preferred, not required in related discipline (e.g. Business, Finance, Engineering)
  • PMP Designation required; RMP Designation an asset but not required
  • Professional knowledge of Supply Chain Management
  • Working knowledge of Financial Management
  • Professional knowledge of complex industrial environments and/or Defence industry
  • Deep project management experience including, risk assessment, stakeholder management, change and reporting, typically gained over 10+ years’ experience.
  • Demonstrated experience of managing a business-critical subcontracts, including the ability to manage scope, cost and time.
