The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the performance of all quality functions and duties as related to the DNNP fabrication activities. The position reports to the Quality Control Supervisor.

What You'll Do Here

  • Participate in the execution of the fabrication travelers.
  • Perform quality inspection in accordance with the Aecon’s quality program, the related codes, standards, and customer specifications. Such inspections shall include but not be limited to:
    • Dimensional inspection.
    • Visual welding inspection.
    • Visual weld examination.
    • Material verification.
    • Receiving Inspection.
  • Review of Material Test Reports as required.
  • Perform weld monitoring as required.
  • Complete all associated documentation and forms for individual inspections.
  • Writing and tracking of non-conformance reports.
  • Support QC activities associated with the project requirements.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Graduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC or a related discipline at the University or College level.
  • CWB W178.2 Level 2 Certified Welding Inspector required.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector qualification preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in ASME B&PV Code, (including Nuclear), CWB experience, ANSI N690, and AWS D1.1.
  • Computer literate in MS Office.
  • Previous experience in inspections and controls within a Nuclear Quality Program would be considered an asset.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to effectively interact with people at all levels of the organization with view to implementing quality requirements and objectives.
