Come work as a Radiology Porter Aide with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC!

Practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as well as within a patient and family centered care model and the vision and values of the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Medical Imaging department, the position acts as a member of an integrated team within a high volume medical imaging environment by performing duties such as transporting patients to and from required areas using stretchers and wheelchairs, assisting technical and nursing staff with the lifting and transferring of patients, maintaining supplies for various carts, cupboards, trays, rooms and storage areas and cleaning equipment and supply areas, as required. Maintains a clean and safe work environment for the designated area.

Education & Experience

• Grade 12 and two (2) years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
