We’re seeking someone to join our team as a REACT Developer in to help develop a risk application spanning the entire Global Institutional Equity Division front office. This application presents real time and historic risk and P&L to traders and risk managers, enable drill down into risk and P&L detail, pivot the data in numerous ways, and interact with other trading tools in the front office. The application is being built in React with a GigaSpaces middle tier. The GUI is to be highly configurable and thin, enabling a fast turnaround on new panels for different use cases.

What You’ll Do In The Role

  • You will be responsible for designing and developing a highly responsive React UI to present data in a way that allows senior front office heads to quickly identify areas of risk that need attention
  • You will work on building reusable components and front-end libraries in React, optimised for maximum performance across a range of mobile devices and browsers
  • You will be a technically proficient and enthusiastic web developer with a solid grounding in javascript (ES10 and above), json, CSS3, HTML5 and REST APIs.
  • You will be performing tasks in different areas of the development lifecycle, from planning to testing and automating some of the delivery.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • Minimum 5 years of post-academic work experience with frontend solutions (Angular and/or React, nodeJS, JS frameworks).
  • Strong experience in managing User Interfaces for data intensive platforms.
  • Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Design patterns, Architecture and Application Integration.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed tech stack with modern tools of development.
  • Hands-on experience with core dev-ops tooling and best practices and manage this at a platform level.
  • Hands-on experience for managing large UI product from delivery, code-quality and maintenance perspective.
