Registered Architects & Intern Architects - #196580
Station One Architects

Station One Architects is hiring Registered Architects & Intern Architects
Full-time | In-person | Chilliwack, BC
The Opportunity
We’re growing our architectural team at SOA and looking to bring on up to three new people - a mix of Registered Architects (AIBC) and Intern Architects working toward licensure. If you're ready to jump into meaningful, hands-on projects and be part of a team that values thoughtful work and solid follow-through, we’d love to hear from you.
What We Work On
Our focus is on institutional and education projects — schools, public-use buildings, and community-serving spaces across BC. We also take on complex community housing and multi-family developments, often with public funding and all the coordination and constraints that come with it. These aren’t “design it and walk away” jobs — we stay involved, roll with the challenges, and help make it real.
What We’re Looking For
Whether you’re fully registered or still working toward it, we’re looking for people who are confident, grounded, and curious — people who want to grow and contribute, not just get their hours in.
You might be a fit if you:
- Hold a Master’s in Architecture from a Canadian university
- Are either registered with AIBC or eligible (or enrolled in the IAP program)
- Have 2+ years of experience working in a Canadian architectural firm
- Are comfortable working in Revit (production or redlining, depending on level)
- Have exposure to institutional, public-use, or housing projects
- Are thoughtful, reliable, and don’t wait to be told what to do
- Care about good work, good people, and good process
What You’ll Be Doing
- Registered Architects: Leading projects start to finish, redlining drawings, managing permitting and code compliance, coordinating with consultants, mentoring junior staff, and staying close to the actual work.
- Intern Architects: Supporting all phases of work under the guidance of a registered architect, building up technical and coordination skills, working in Revit, and learning by doing — from design through to construction.
Why This Might Be Right for You
- This is a full-time, in-office role at our Chilliwack studio — not remote or hybrid
- You want to work with people who back each other up, stay calm under pressure, and genuinely care about the outcome
- You like being part of a small team where your ideas and efforts actually matter
Compensation & Conditions
- Registered Architects: Starting at $85,000/year (negotiable)
- Intern Architects: Starting at $65,000/year (negotiable)
- Full-time, in-person at our Chilliwack studio
- Friday afternoons off all summer
- Extended health benefits (fully covered by SOA), paid vacation, and full support for AIBC dues and role-related development
