Overview
The role of Regulatory Affairs Scientist,is responsible for ensuring faultless compliance of ingredients, formulas and labeling for several brands within PepsiCo Canada. This team is critical to the innovation/renovation process from ideas all the way through to launch. You will have the opportunity to interact regularly with many other functions including but not limited to product development, marketing, supply chain, and legal.

Reporting into the PepsiCo Foods Canada Regulatory Manager, the primary focus of this position is to provide regulatory expertise to brands under the FritoLay portfolio. This includes review and approval of ingredient specifications, creation of ingredient statements, nutrition facts tables, substantiating claims and approving. The position will involve work with a variety of R&D and cross-functional stakeholders and managing packaging timelines.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science, ideally in fields of Nutrition Science, Food Science, Engineering or equivalent as minimum
- Minimum 2 years of foods regulatory affairs experience is required, with strong knowledge of Canadian Food and Drug regulations
- Excellent computer skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong collaborating and influencing skills
- Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple tasks, conduct calculated risk assessments and work independently
- Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meet aggressive timelines
- Previous experience working in product specification, regulatory and/or product lifecycle management software
