Your Opportunity
At Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. ("Triton"), safety isn't a checkbox, it's a culture. We're looking for an energetic, committed Safety Supervisor to join our team of environmental professionals and help us protect the people and places that matter most.
Based near Squamish, BC, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with front-line supervisors, operations staff, project managers, and our Corporate Health and Safety Manager championing Triton's safety standards every step of the way and keeping us on track toward our goal of zero incidents.

You’ll Enjoy
This is a temporary contract position starting immediately, and is expected to be complete in 2027 or for the duration of the project, which ever comes first. You will travel to and from the project site and work a rotational field shift schedule of 2/2 (two weeks on and two weeks off). 12 hour days, no night shift required. While on site, you will stay in an employer-provided room on a floatel, and all your required travel expenses will be covered.
Your Compensation
The targeted pay rate for this position is $50.00 per hour.
Overtime pay will be provided in accordance with provincial employment legislation.

Based near Squamish, BC, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with front-line supervisors, operations staff, project managers, and our Corporate Health and Safety Manager championing Triton's safety standards every step of the way and keeping us on track toward our goal of zero incidents.
Your Impact
- Assist in the development and implementation of project safety plans, job hazard assessments, and safe work procedures.
- Implement and maintain Triton’s project Health and Safety standards, systems, and procedures.
- Conduct and document field site inspections to verify compliance with project plans, policies, and health and safety regulations.
- Identify corrective actions when unsafe acts or conditions are observed; resolve non-compliance issues; and provide guidance and mentorship to supervisors, subcontractors, and project personnel on health and safety matters.
- Ensure all required health and safety documentation—including subcontractor documentation, inspections, audits, daily hazard assessments, toolbox talks, safe work procedures, and meeting minutes—is accurately prepared, organized, and distributed.
- Lead or support incident investigations and facilitate the development of corrective and preventive actions.
- Act as Program Coordinator for the corporate Injury Management Program.
- Compile reports and statistics, including leading and lagging indicators, and conduct inspections related to investigations.
- Identify undesirable trends and provide appropriate recommendations for improvement.
- Deliver toolbox talks and other relevant health and safety training materials.
- Facilitate and oversee the corporate Stay at Work/Return to Work program and manage workplace injuries.
- Conduct competency evaluations and assessments of field staff in corporate safe work programs and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Corporate Health and Safety Manager and Project Manager.
- Minimum of five years of relevant health and safety experience, with at least one year in a leadership role preferred.
- Possession of a CRSP, Construction Safety Officer (CSO), or National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation.
- Thorough knowledge of BC provincial health and safety legislation, policies, and practices.
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety functions, including hazard identification, incident investigations, emergency response systems and ergonomics.
- Familiarity with project construction best practices, techniques, and safety requirements.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in addressing health and safety issues, including identifying problems, generating solutions, and making sound decisions.
- Formal training in incident investigation methodologies and procedures.
- Knowledge and practical experience with OHS regulations and practices in a marine-based environment considered an asset.
