Position Description

We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we're still growing! Join us as a "Scala Java Developer" in our banking team.

As a Developer, you will offer architectural guidance, ensure successful technology solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role demands expertise in full-stack technologies, data engineering, and strong communication skills.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Design and develop technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Improve software and data architecture best practices, patterns, and reference architectures.
• Advance the architecture strategy for COO Infrastructure.
• Perform in-depth analysis and provide detailed responses for senior stakeholders.
• Lead as an anchor developer and guide the team in best practices.
• Collaborate with and mentor development team members.
• Create detailed technical solution designs that meet functional requirements.
• Analyze and design data models, flows, and interfaces.
• Contribute to architectural design and strategy across various disciplines.
  
  

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• Expertise in Java, Scala, Spark, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Azure.
• Proficiency in cloud-based application design, architectural strategy, full-stack development, data engineering, technical leadership, and mentoring.
• Experience with databases such as DB2.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, continuous integration, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, technical solution design, and infrastructure governance.
• Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective collaboration with diverse technology and business teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
