The Selector II is a key member of the warehouse team responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting and preparing customer orders for delivery. This role requires a higher level of skill and responsibility, demonstrating increased efficiency, accuracy, and the ability to handle more complex orders.

Responsibilities:

Order Selection:
Accurately select and gather products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders using pick sheets, voice-directed systems, or other order fulfillment technologies.
Ensure the correct quantity, quality, and product codes are selected for each order.
Stage selected products for loading onto delivery trucks in a timely and organized manner, optimizing space utilization.
Inventory Accuracy:
Identify and report any discrepancies or discrepancies in inventory to supervisors.
Assist with cycle counts and inventory adjustments as needed.
Equipment Operation:
Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Teamwork:
May assist in training new selectors on safe work practices and order selection procedures.
Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Skills:

Order Selection: Proven ability to accurately and efficiently select orders with minimal errors.
Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems.
Physical Strength: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) frequently.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy when selecting and staging orders.
Safety Awareness: Strong awareness of safety procedures and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and assist in training new team members.

Certifications:

Forklift certification preferred.
Voice-directed picking system training preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or GED

Experience:

2+ years of experience
