Job Description

The Senior IT Analyst will have a multifaceted role in managing, enhancing, and improving our company’s IT infrastructure and operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation and improvement of our systems, while resolving issues, implementing new architecture, and supporting the growth and maturity of our IT operations. In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of our transformation efforts across multiple facets of the organization, with an opportunity to onboard new tools and technologies and design and implement new architecture to replace legacy systems.

This role operates within a hybrid work model out of corporate offices in Brampton, Ontario. Occasional travel to support business operations and project deployments may be required.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Project management and delivery, including gathering project requirements, effective resource allocation and meeting project delivery deadlines
  • IT operations controls including regularly reviewing current infrastructure and plans to ensure standards and delivered solutions remain appropriate
  • Top level technical support for our internal operations and service teams, managing escalations and disruptions/outages
  • Review existing policies and confirm they meet all regulatory compliance, identify areas of improvement, and ensure effective controls exist for all key policy elements

  • Research, evaluate, plan and implement upgrades to current infrastructure as required
  • Vendor management, including oversight of SLA with third party vendors, managing vendor selection and purchasing decisions, and ensuring all IT assets are legally and properly licensed at all times
  • Contributing to security efforts ensuring a high level of information security for all organizational data within core competencies
  • Internal reporting regarding quality, availability, and continuous improvement to management on a regular basis

Qualifications

The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:

  • 10 or more years of work experience in IT Infrastructure & Operations or equivalent combination of transferrable experience and education
  • Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling, with the ability to coordinate and oversee cabling installation tasks with a third-party partner for store, distribution center, and sales office builds, migrations, and expansions
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and integrate facility technologies, including AV equipment, door access controls, and video surveillance solutions, while leveraging third-party support
  • Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies with flexibility to handle multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously
  • Proven ability to design, build, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise grade technology solutions including but not limited to VMWare Virtualization, Enterprise Storage, and Enterprise Backups
  • Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Fiber Chanel switches, zoning, and fabric connectivity,
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with a broad range of people and roles including vendors and IT-business personnel
  • High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
  • University or College degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience
  • Thorough knowledge of various versions of Windows for use on Server and Desktop systems
  • Thorough knowledge of patching and deployment technologies for windows platforms
  • Knowledge of Citrix technologies, platforms and concepts
  • Knowledge of Wyse or other thin client technologies and architectures
  • Strong technical knowledge of current systems, software, protocols and standards. Including TCP/IP and network administration/protocols
  • Experience developing, documenting and maintaining procedures
